Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a nation in the Lesser Antilles chain, namely in the southern portion of the Windward Islands, which lie at the southern end of the eastern border of the Caribbean Sea where the latter meets the Atlantic Ocean. Its 389-square-kilometre (150 sq mi) territory consists of the main island of Saint Vincent and the northern two-thirds of the Grenadines, which are a chain of smaller islands stretching south from Saint Vincent Island to Grenada. To the north of St. Vincent lies St. Lucia, to the east Barbados. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is densely populated (over 300 inhabitants/sq km) with its 120000 people. Its capital is Kingstown, also its main port. The country has a French and British colonial history and is now part of the Commonwealth of Nations and CARICOM. ( source Wikipedia )

The Grenadines are a chain of 32 islands running between St. Vincent in the north and Grenada in the south and each island boasts spectacular landscapes, beautiful white-sand beaches and mesmerizing turquoise blue waters. Make your leisurely way from island to island using the scheduled ferry boat or travel by air: Bequia is the largest of the Grenadines and retains age-old traditions of boat building, whaling and fishing. Canouan claims some of the best beaches in the entire Caribbean - long ribbons of powder-white sands, wide shallows and coral. Palm Island is a private resort offering open-air dining and watersports from spectacular white-sand beaches. Union Island is the stopping-off point for yachtsmen and visitors heading to some of the smaller Grenadines.
